Top 25 Music Videos of 2014 (#25-#21)

2014 definitely did not fall short of providing spectacular visuals. Instead of counting down the worst songs of the year, or the most overrated albums, I figured I would keep positive by sharing the best music videos of the past 12 months (11 months actually). From music videos highlighting fashion to drag queens and a lot of shirtless men, 2014 certainly brought some attention grabbing scenes for those die-hard music video lovers, like this greedy music blogger.

The artists represented on this unnecessary list are being singled out for a particular track's accompanying music video only. The actual song, chart placement or parent album were not taken into consideration. Those qualifications will be complied into lists still to come. Enjoy!

#25. "Your Love" by Nicole Scherzinger

People love to hate Nicole Scherzinger, but the truth is the former Pussycat Doll delivers impressive pop tunes which unfortunately get overlooked. For the visual to her "comeback" single "Your Love", Scherzinger played up her assets. With a location of a gorgeous, almost perfect beach, the artist showcases a body men and women dream and drool over as she parades around in a tight bikini and a flowing dress. If the skin tease wasn't enough, the song's music video amps up the colors, fire twirling and light effects for a finale which definitely impresses and proves effective.

#24. "Let Go For Tonight" by Foxes

English singer-songwriter released a killer album in 2014, preceded by a few great singles, including "Let Go For Tonight", which was accompanied by a fun, bright, and colorful music video. Opening with the beautiful singer sitting calmly at the head of an all-white dinner party table, chaos ensues as an epic food fight begins and an explosion of color lightens the mood. Besides the focus on Foxes' beauty, the video succeeds thanks to the embodiment of happiness, I mean look at all those smiles. It's a carefree visual that really brings the uplifting, optimistic message of the song to life.

#23. "Dressed To Kill" by Sharon Needles

Drag queens are not necessarily well known for their singing abilities, but Sharon Needles proved everyone wrong and released a slick, edgy music video for "Dressed To Kill" in the process. As Sharon's male ego, Aaron Coady, lures viewers into an abandoned warehouse, the lights go on and Needles makes her grand appearance on the runway, with hostages lining the sides, for her own personal, deranged fashion show (with clothes from her own Geoffrey Mac fashion line of course). Needles looks absolutely stunning in every outfit for the horror-inspired yet chic music video.

#22. "Dare (La La La)" by Shakira

No, not the slightly confusing World Cup version that has been viewed over 400 million times already, but rather the original video for Shakira's "Dare (La La La)" which is a much better representation of the dance song. The wide shots throughout the music video are absolutely breathtaking, definitely the main highlight, however when the crowd rushes onto a dancefloor to take part in a huge party, it makes for a pretty incredible video moment. The energy of the video is amped up, Shakira's beauty is thrown to the forefront and it becomes an enjoyable video to watch over and over.

#21. "My Address Is Hollywood" by Adore Delano

As the most recently released visual on the list, Adore Delano certainly made a positive impact with the music video in support of her latest single "My Address Is Hollywood". The visual is a behind the scenes look into some of the artist's personal experiences with the not-so-glamorous side of fame and showbiz. As she walks down the streets of Los Angeles in her trademark ripped fishnets and fashionable leopard print, the video becomes a sharp and clean effort with added hair flips and amazing close up shots thrown in for good measure. Adore is carefully planning her pop takeover.
