With her pretty brown and white polka dot dress and matching cardigan, it looked like Eva Mendes was channelling her inner fifties movie star today.

The 37-year-old actress looked stylish as she ran errands in Beverly Hills earlier today.

A pair of light grey wedge heels and blue tinted glasses completed the look.

With her hair pulled up into a neat ponytail and wearing minimal make-up, the actress remained focused on her mobile phone conversation.

But there was no sign of her current beau Ryan Gosling, her co-star in the upcoming crime drama, The Place Beyond the Pines.

The film, which also stars Bradley Cooper, is just one of three movies Eva has coming out this year.

In April, she will appear in low budget comedy Girl in Progress, while she also stars alongside Kylie Minogue in Holly Motors, which she filmed in Paris.

The film follows 24 hours in the life of a man travelling between different lives including a murderer, a beggar, a CEO and a father.
